Daniel came in the door late. "Sorry I'm late. There was some trouble at work and had to stay a bit later than usual."

Emilie smiled when she heard her Husband come in "Its fine. Although your daughter has been demanding you for the last 3 hours. Shes such a daddys girl." She said refferring to the 6 month old in her arms

"Well daddy's home now." Daniel said reaching his arms out

Emilie handed him gabbi and smiled “I’m gonna go make dinner”

"Alright." Daniel said with a smile taking Gabbi in his arms.

Emilie kissed his cheek and went downstairs to start Dinner.

Lucas had gotten off work and felt he needed to make amends with someone. He had remembered Tessa's address so he drove over there and walked up to the door, his heart racing. He gathered his composure and knocked on the door with a deep breath.

Tessa was curled up in her comfy chair sketching out new designs for a project at work. She looked up when she heard a knock at the door. She set her sketch book down and opened the door "lucas?"

Lucas looked down. "Hey. I needed to talk to you. Can I come in?"

"Yeah come on in." She said holding the door open for him. She was suddenly embarrassed by her attire: a large t shirt and a pair of shorts. She ran her fingers through her hair and lead him to the room she had just been in "can I get you something to drink?"

"Sure. Just a glass of wine. Or water if you don't have any." Lucas said.

"I think I have a bottle of chardonnay somewhere. You can make yourself comfortable. I'll be right back." She said disappearing into the kitchen. She returned with two glasses of wine and the bottle in a chiller in case they wanted more. She sat in her chair and curled her legs up under her "so what's up?"

Lucas sat down on the couch across from her. "Tess, I think I messed up." He said simply.

Tessa blinked a few times confused ad to what he meant "messed up what, Lu?"

He sighed. "Us. I think I messed up with you. It was a little intense when we were in Montana and I think that kinda took over my mind. I was afraid. I was scared. I didn't like that I felt the way I felt and I pushed you away. But Tess," he paused and sipped his wine. "I really really like you and I want to try again."

Tessa was shocked by his words. She had always held feelings for Lucas buy was she ready to pursue those feelings again "I don't know Lucas. I can't get hurt again..." She said sipping her own wine glass needing the liquid courage

"Tess, the past few months haven't been right without you. I understand that you're upset by what I did. I just want you to give me a second chance." Lucas said. "Please " He continued to drink his own wine.

Tessa chewed nervously on her bottom lip and stared at the glass in her hands. While part of her wanted nothing more than to pounce on Lucas and take him back part of her was stl reserved and had a guard up "tell me why I should." She said. Not in a challenging way either. In a way that said she desperately needed him to give her own so she could

"Because I love you. I'm sorry about what I did. Like I said, I was afraid. We were hiding and I was afraid of everything. Including how I felt for you. But now we're back home and everything's okay and I want to be with you. I can't give you a good reason. What I did to you was terrible and I can't take that back. But I desperately want you to give me a second chance." Lucas choked back some tears and sipped his wine again. He was going to need it.

Tessa blinked back a few years as he spoke "Lucas i- I'd be lying if I said didn't still love you. This is your only chance. There isn't another one after this. If you screw it up that's it game over. Am I clear?" She asked biting her lip and looking at him

Lucas gave out a sigh of relief and smiled. "Yes." He loosened up a bit. "So what are you up to?" He asked. "You don't look like you're going anywhere anytime soon today."

"Working on some something for a new line I'm designing for work. I call it leather baby." She said showing him the sketches she had done up so far. There were  leather jackets, boots, skirts, pants, hats, gloves. Multiple designs spread across the coffee table

"Ooh. They look nice. You better let me get my hands on one of those jackets." Lucas said with a chuckle.

"I might be able to make that happen." She said with a smirk on her lips before She looked up at Lucas "so what do I call you now? My boyfriend?" She asked just wanting to make sure they were on the same page

"Is that what you think I am?" Lucas said raising an eyebrow. "Because I assumed that's what you were telling me."
