"Hey Tessa, it's Lucas..." Lucas said.

"Hi..." She said in a soft voice "I'm sorry I ran off"

"I can explain. Just give me a minute, please." Lucas said.

"I'm at the park if you want to come here" she said

Lucas nodded. "Okay." He said. He drove towards the nearby park.

Tessa sat on the park bench waiting

Lucas parked his car and got out.

Tessa saw him but did not move from her spot

Lucas took a few deep breaths in his car.

Tessa stared at the car waiting for him to approach her and explain what the hell had just happened

Lucas took a deep breath and got out of the car, walking toward her.

Tessa bit her lip nervously

Lucas made his way toward her and sighed. "Please allow me to explain what happened."

Tessa nodded and waited for him to continue

"Two things: 1) I had a lot swirling in my head about us and I'm not entirely sure what I want us to be yet so if you truly want to be with me, I need you to respect that I'm not quite sure abot us yet. And 2nd." Lucas took a deep breath. "I've never been kissed before. I've always been the one initiating it. So when you made the move, it caught me insanely off guard, just because I'm so used to doing it." He bit his lip.

Tessa listened and just simply nodded "thank gods. I thought you were gonna say you were gay or something"

"No." Lucas said. "Just caught a little off-guard. And I'm still unsure what I want us to be."

"Well... I want to be with you" Tessa said softly

"I know and I'm not sure what I want yet." Lucas said. "I may need some time to think it over."

Tessa nodded and bit her bottom lip

"Can you respect that?" Lucas asked.

She nodded once again

Lucas smiled and kissed her cheek. "Take that with you. You're chances are looking pretty good." He turned around to walk back to his car.

She smiled gently "hey Lucas?"

"Yeah?" Lucas asked.
