Tessa froze. Was this one of cassies people "donated it to homeless families in the city" she said making up an answer. She had no idea what the camp did with the let over food

The woman sighs, "Never mind. I guess you aren't who I thought. Gods they promised me that it wouldn't get so out of hand. I was just so angry about Mason. I never intended for things to get this bad. Well, thanks any way." She says sadly and turns away walking down the porch steps.

Cassie sighs, "I cant give away too much, but I can say this, every demigod is a hazard. Our powers don't belong on this planet any more, we're dangerous and unpredictable. While we have come to terms with our powers, the rest of the world sees us as a threat to their safety, and when mortals get scared, they get very violent. I never wanted anyone to die, but these people...they don't seem to see the difference."

Cassie shakes her head, "But you do. So long as the gods blood runs in our vanes we all have some kind of power, and it wont matter to them how powerful it is or not. Its still there, and so long as it is its a threat."

Cassie shakes her head, "I don't know. Unfortunately I think our best hope is that I let everyone think I'm still on the opposite side. Which means you cant tell anyone that we spoke. As far as they know I'm still in jail for another few weeks. Best not raise anymore suspicion than there already is."
