Mattie smiled. "It's a family recipe." she said, and then her smile slipped away. "Or at least, I'd like to think it is."
Melissa's phone rang with Elijah's name on the caller ID.

"Go sit." she said, gesturing to the table. She grabbed two bowls and put the stew into them before grabbing spoons and taking the bowls to the table.
