"I swear," Halo murmured.

Liam nodded and slowly released Halo.

Halo smiled softly.

"I'm sorry." he said quietly.

"There's nothing to apologise for."

"I didn't mean to make you feel like you weren't good enough." he whispered..

"I know. I know. "

"No, Halo, you don't." Liam said, sitting up. "In the army, you saved my life a million times. And when I came back and got with Stormie, you stood by my side. After I was discharged, you walked me through a break up, a move, Lena's funeral. And in the end of it all, you loved me. You loved me even though I was the worst guy to love. And everytime I look at you..." Liam turned his head a bit and smiled softly. "I'm reminded of how much of a guardian angel you are... How much of a blessing you have been... And how much I always have and always will love you." He reached out, cupping the other male's cheek. "I know, you have your moments, and I haven't stood by your side like you did with me. And I'm sorry. I'm going to change. I'm going to be better for you." he whispered.

Halo stared at him for a second, then shook his head. "You're perfect," he promised. "Just the way you are."

Liam pulled him into his embrace.

Halo hugged back tightly.

"Thank you.." he whispered.

"You're welcome," Halo murmured.

"You have work, don't you." he whispered.

Halo nodded.

"You should get going then. You don't want to be late." Liam said and kissed his cheek.

Halo pulled away before they made contact. "Sorry," he apologised, standing.

"What?" Liam asked, confused.

"I'm- not in boyfriend headspace."

"Oh. Got it." Liam said, nodding.

"Sorry."

"No, don't be. I told you I was fine with it." Liam said and smiled a bit.

Halo nodded slowly.

"You have to get to work." Liam said. "Go on."

"Okay," Halo smiled, raising his hand in a half wave.
