Liam sat in the living room feeling dejected. He slowly rolled back to Halo's room and sat there for a bit.

Halo went to work, lying down on a crash mat and staring up at the ceiling, passing the time until people came in at a reasonable time to work.

Sam went into Halo's room with Liam's clothes and put them on the bed before leaving and making breakfast for the two of them. Liam got changed, but spent most of the day, staring at the wall. Sam cleaned the house, did some grocery shopping, got dinner prepared and kept checking on Liam.

Halo returned very late that night, having eaten with his colleagues and stayed out for a bit with them at the bar.

Sam looked up as Halo came in. "Welcome home, how was your day?" she asked softly with a small smile.

"Not bad, thank you," Halo smiled. "Shouldn't you be asleep? It is, like, three."

"The baby decided it didn't want me to sleep." Sam said, smiling and rubbing her baby bump softly. "You're a stunt double, right? That's what Liam told me you are."

Halo smiled fondly then nodded. "Yeah, I'm a stuntie."

"What's that like?" she asked.

Halo grinned. "It's really awesome," he said enthusiastically. "Especially on a huge film with great stunts... when you see it on screen... it's just wow," he chuckled.

Sam smiled at his enthusiasm. "I'm glad you like your job. She turned to the kettle as it started whistling and took it off the burner it was on. "Would you like some tea? I feel like I barely know you, even though I would like to." she said and turned the burner off before pouring some hot water into a mug.

"I'd love some," Halo smiled.

Sam grabbed another cup and dumped a tea bag in before pouring the hot water into it.

"Just milk, no sugar, thanks," Halo smiled.

Sam reached into the fridge and grabbed the milk, pouring some into his tea before putting the milk back. She grabbed the handles of the mugs and lifted them, setting his on the counter and moving to the living room.

Halo followed her, sipping his drink.

Sam sat down. "What got you interested in being a stuntie?" she asked.

"I used to be in the Army, with Liam. I left because it was too much, but I needed the adrenaline, and there were lots of stuntie jobs. It also helps that I can't feel pain."

"Right, Liam mentioned that you're also a demigod." Sam said. "Son of..."

"Epione. Minor goddess. I can't feel minor pain, and I can take away others' pain," Halo smiled.

(HAH Just had the funniest idea pop in my head)

Sam nodded. "I'm the daughter of the crazy guy." she said sipping her tea. "The father of my child is the son of Zeus. Crazy and zappy. No at good mix." She forced a smile to show she was trying to joke but looked down afterwards.

Halo smiled comfortingly.

(Delivery is painful imagine if she asked for Halo instead of pain meds xD)

Sam quickly wipe away some tears. "This baby is messing up my emotions." she said.

(He'd offer even if she didn't ask. Just calmly take her hand and take it away... feeling all the pain himself but that doesn't matter)

Halo smiled. "It's okay. May I have a hug?"

Sam nodded and leaned forward, wrapping an arm around him.
