David ran in holding Jonathan's new shoes.

Tom leaned over the banister. "Up here!" He called, grinning.

Jonathan ran in after David, whining at his brother.

"David, give Jonathan back his shoes." Ben said, putting the bags down and going up the stairs to see Tom.

David sighed and gave Jonathan his shoes before bolting up the stairs. "Daddy Tom! Daddy Tom!"

"Heya, David!" Tom grinned and swung the boy up and into the air, twirling him around. Jonathan followed at a more sedate pace, careful not to bang his shoes on the banister.

Ben laughed and picked Jonathan up. David let out shriek as then clung to Tom.

"Daddy, mind my shoes!" Jonathan protested, holding them at arm's length.
With a comment about old bones, Tom deposited David back onto the floor and looked closer at the shoes Jonathan was wafting around. "Very dapper." He grinned.

Ben kisse the top on Jonathan's head. "Sorry buddy." He carefully set the boy down and sent Tom a look. "Daddy Tom, guess what Daddy Ben bought me!" David said happily tugging on Tom's sleeve.

Jonathan, shoes still at arm's length out of harm's way, hugged Ben. "'S okay, Papa."
Tom quieted an eyebrow at the look, bending down to David's level. "I don't know, sweetheart. What did he get you?"

"A skateboard!" David shrieked happily.

Ben smiled and hugged Jonathan back. "Why don't we put your shoes in your room?" he suggested.

"Well, now, your Daddy does know that skateboards have to be used only in the garden and only with a helmet and pads on, doesn't he?" Tom looked up at Ben.

Jonathan nodded, slipping his free hand into Ben's.

"Don't worry, helmets and pads were bought." Ben reassured Tom, kissing his cheek as he passed, leading Jonathan to his room.

"Daddy can we go outside and play?" David asked, looking up at Tom.

David thought for a moment before pressing his small hand to Tom's leg. "You're it!" David said effort he took off down the stairs.

Tom chuckled before following, calling out for David to be careful and watch where he was going so he didn't slip on any of the many different floorings in the house.

Tom slowed down and grinned as Plato padded out of the shadows. He grinned as the panther alpha made his way over to a curtain that certainly wasn't supposed to be moving.
