Elijah nodded. "You wear it well." he said with a smile.

Gwâthiôn smiled. "Thank you. Don't look so bad yourself."

Elijah grinned. "It's not a smart idea to feed my ego." he teased.

"Just telling it like it is," Gwâthiôn chuckled.

Elijah chuckled and took another drink of his bourbon.

Gwâthiôn grinned at him over his own drink.

Elijah was at an odd ease with this man. He wasn't sure it was good but he new it wasn't horrible. "So, anything else I should know?" he asked.

"Like what?" Gwâthiôn asked, sipping his drink.

"Favourite movie, favourite book, what you're doing Friday night." he joked.

"Probably Star Trek, The Lord of the Rings, and absolute nada," Gwâthiôn returned. "You?"

"The Wizard of Oz, The Count of Monte Cristo, and I've got an event I'm hoping to see you at." Elijah said, taking a sip of his bourbon.

"Oh?" Gwâthiôn raised an eyebrow. "Which event is this?"

"We're showing our new car." Elijah said. Yes it was his company, but the people who had designed it, built it, tested it, it was their car too. He set his glass down and reached into his suit, pulling out an invitation and holding it to Gwâthiôn.

"Our new-?" Gwâthiôn started, confused, then read the invitation, and slowly started to put the pieces together. He glanced at the fancy invitation, at his own clothes, then at Elijah's. He felt terribly underdressed, and this was his best, and this was only bourbon. "I, uh," he stuttered, flailing for an excuse.

Elijah chuckled. "I just got out of work. Normally I wouldn't be so dressed up." he said, grabbing his glass and taking a sip.

Gwâthiôn took a drink of his own to try and give him confidence.

"You alright?" he asked, a concerned look came to his face.

"Fine, fine," Gwâthiôn nodded. "I, um, think I'll pass, but thank you." He passed the invitation back.

A small frown came to Elijah's face. "Really?" he asked.

"Perhaps another time?" Gwâthiôn suggested, desperately hoping he didn't sound rude.

"Sure." Elijah said, a smile coming to his face.

"An army doctor. How refreshing." he said.
