Liss nodded, starting to shoot at the hound as it paced. She got in a few good shots before it started to bound down the slope and she couldn't see it for all the dust it was churning up. She shot blindly until it was upon her, when she shot it in the mouth as it tried to bite her. It disintegrated and was swept away by the wind.

Seeing her kill the hell hound Orlando swung himself off the branch dropping to the base of the slope. He landed neatly on his feet took a few step forward and promptly tripped, face planting the ground.

Liss chuckled and walked over to help him up, then turned to the Impala. "Awww, Baby, no," she sighed, looking at the mangled car.

Orlando brushed off this dirt. "How do we get back now?"

"Looks like we call the tow truck again," she sighed.

Orlando sighed "you gotta phone?"

"Somewhere in there," she said, gesturing to the mess of metal.

Orlando picked through the wreckage. After a minute of searching his shouted "ah ha!" Lifting the glass jar with the eye in it, "at least this thing survived."

"Ohmygods!" Liss exclaimed. "Of all things! It had to be that!"

Orlando glared at the eye for a second before scanning the wreckage again.

Liss reached through the window and salvaged the phone, thankfully unbroken. She turned it on and walked a distance before calling the usual tow truck place. She hung up and walked back to Orli. "Now we wait."

Orlando gave a hum of acknowledgment picking up torn papers and battered books.

"You know they can stay in there? We're getting towed back to your place."

"I want to see how much restoration I need to do," Orlando grumbled "and as long as we don't take another boat I'm fine."

"How else do you think we're getting across the water?"

Orlando groaned loudly and paled at the thought of water.

"I'll get you some sleeping pills and knock you out," she said sympathetically.

"I'd rather be awake," Orlando grumbled "I don't trust you enough not to draw on my face."

Liss laughed, then sat in a dent on the boot of the car.

Orlando turned his attention to piecing together the tattered books.

Liss had all but fallen asleep when the tow truck. She hopped off the car, put Orli's books back in said car, then waved for him to go sit in the truck as she hooked Baby up.

Orlando jumped up into the truck. "Are you crashing at my place until we can fix the car?"

"Of course," Liss nodded, giving a thumbs up to the driver before hopping up as well. "I always crash at your place."

"You can sleep on the couch... At least last time I checked I had a couch..."

"Cool," Liss hummed. "Take it away, Bruce," she grinned at the truck driver, giving him a thumbs up.
