Elijah sighed once more. "That is something I usually reveal later, and then end up never hearing from the person again." he said.

"You're not to blame for any faults your family has."

"I am, though." Elijah said quietly.

"How so?"

Elijah's jaw clenched as memories flooded his mind. "That's a story for another time." he said.

"I'm sorry, I pushed too much," Gwâthiôn apologised hastily.

"No, it's alright." Elijah reassured him. "I would just prefer to wait."

"I understand," Gwâthiôn nodded.

Elijah smiled a bit.

Gwâthiôn returned the smile.

Elijah glanced at the time and grinned. "Oh, you're about to witness something beautiful." he said.

Gwâthiôn cocked an eyebrow in confusion.

He just pointed at the bar as a young man came in and started talking to the young male bartender. "It's been happening for three weeks now. Same day, same time." Elijah said. "As far as I've seen, neither know that the other has feelings for them. It's my favourite thing to watch, because it's new love and that's always beautiful."

Gwâthiôn smiled softly as he watched.

Elijah raised his eyebrows as the young man handed the bartender a piece of paper. "Well, well. We have contact." he joked.

Gwâthiôn smiled wistfully.

Elijah smiled and looked down as the young man departed, leaving the bartender blushing.

Gwâthiôn sighed quietly.

Elijah tilted his head as he looked at his friend in concern.

"I miss it," Gwâthiôn confessed.

"Miss what?" Elijah asked gently.

"Being in love. I mean, I love her still and all, but I'm not in love with her. I miss it."

Elijah nodded. "Being in love is one of my favourite things. Of course it's never really happened for me but the idea of it is... liberating." he replied.

Gwâthiôn nodded softly. "It's an incredible feeling."

Elijah smiled and nodded. "I believe you."
